Lake Forest College In The Loop

Lake Forest College In The Loop is the College’s residential Chicago semester. Students complete up to 300 internship hours while completing coursework at the Loop campus, at our Loop partner universities and colleges, or on Lake Forest College’s main campus. Students reside in downtown Chicago and study distinctive aspects of the city through academic programming and co-curricular activities.

*Please note, this form should only be used for prospective students. Current Lake Forest College students should contact Jennie Larsen to schedule a tour of the Flats.

Use the calendar below to select the date you would like to visit. Please note, we offer tours on Thursday afternoons and every other Friday afternoon when school is in session.

Location: 829 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60605

Getting to the facility: Public transportation is recommended though there are ample parking lots surrounding the facility.

  • If taking CTA, the facility is located in between the Harrison and Roosevelt stops.

  • If taking the Metra, it’s about a half hour walk or quick ride share or taxi ride.

Details of the tour: Your 30-45 minute tour includes exploring all common facilities including the library, athletic facilities, and classrooms. We will make every attempt to peek inside a residential suite.

Important information: Every adult on the tour must have a valid photo ID in order to tour the facility. Be sure to list everyone attending on the registration form. If you need to update the list of people attending in your group, email our visit and events coordinator, Jody Grube, at grube@lakeforest.edu.
