The Civics Program is a series of special courses for high school teachers, each carrying four semester hours of graduate credit. It is offered through the Lake Forest College Master of Liberal Studies Program, with the generous support of the Jack Miller Center through their Founding Civics Initiative.

We are delighted that you've decided to apply to the Civics and American Founding Program. We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2024 term.

Plan on filling out the application in its entirety in a single sitting; the system will not let you save an incomplete application and work on it later. While this application form is not a lengthy one, it includes a section in which you are asked to prepare a brief applicant's statement about why you would like to participate in the Civics program. You may want to prepare your statement before completing the rest of the application.
