Welcome, New Foresters! The Office of Intercultural Relations would like to invite you to participate in our First Connection Pre-Orientation program! First Connection provides an excellent opportunity to get an early start on your life at Lake Forest College by getting connected with students, professors, and on-campus resources. The program provides students with an opportunity to engage in in-depth conversations about the college experience. Students will participate in a wide array of community-building activities surrounding topics related to diversity, inclusion, belonging, and understanding.
Students traditionally underrepresented and/or underserved in American higher education, including, but not limited to students who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, LGBTQ+, first-generation, undocumented, and Pell Grant-eligible students are especially urged to apply. International students are required to apply and attend. Due to the limited number of spots available, we are asking students to submit this form by July 5. Students will be notified of their selection by July 15 and will need to confirm their attendance by August 1st. Students selected to participate can plan to arrive on campus on Thursday, August 15. This program is free of charge. All activities and meals for participants are provided by our office and the College. The College is not able to provide lodging for family members during the program. Please complete the form below and note that all questions with an asterisk (*) are required. Feel welcome to direct all questions to: firstconnection@lakeforest.edu.
